Concrete Identity

“Recent urban development lack attachment to their context, lack a sense of belonging, losing character and identity. The urban environment is disconnected from local landscape, ecosystem, history, culture, and community.”

This artwork interacts with the urban changes that have been taking place on the island of Bahrain. It also interacts with the surrounding environment, with nature and the human interventions, and It questions the impact of these changes on the cultural identity of the current and future generations.
